Dension Car Kits – The Best In Car Entertainment
Dension has been hard at work in the last few months, striving to increase the compatibility and usefulness of the Dension audio kits fitted on to BMW vehicles. The new stereo kits are part of Dension’s Gateway range and promise superior features over the older Ice Link Plus range which is almost obsolete now.BMW’s vehicles are complex and Dension have designed a number of trial versions of the BMW kits in order to include the various installation options the new products require..
The main difference in these kits is the type of connection looms as different head units have a problem of physical compatibility from vehicle to vehicle. Moreover the firmware embedded on the stereo units differ too, thus adding to intricacy of the Gateway range
Dension is now making two different kinds of kits according to the stereo and the vehicle in which it is installed. There is a first choice of Gateway 100 or Gateway 300 that are compatible with pre 2004 vehicles that use the normal wiring looms. Gateway 100 and 300 can be used interchangeably and so are more compatible with different types of vehicles. The kits have a digital connection through the CD port and give maximum control of the iPod and track list either through the stereo or the controls on the steering wheel.
Both the Gateway 100 and 300 models come with the facility of track display on select models of head units .They can also charge iPhone 3g and 3gs as well as iPods including the latest V5 .The Dension Gateway 300 sports a USB input port for connecting up mass storage devices. This gives the option of storing up to 10,000 extra tracks or simply using g the additional storage as a back up in caese you do forget your iPod.
The second option in the Dension range of car audio systems is the Gateway 500.whish is really the flagship of the Dension range. The Gateway 500 uses fiber optics that really increases the performance of BMW’s original equipment. When the fibre optic system is connected, Gateway 500 can give a comprehensive iPod connection that is monitored through its iDrive circuitry. The Gateway 500 does not make your CD changer expendable and it also enables you to use the in built USB .
However the other features of Gateway 500 add a totally different dimension to in-car luxury.
Dension has been constantly re-designing and upgrading its Gateway 500 thus improving on the user friendliness and high performance of its car audio kits. Dension has brought in BTA1500 which is a Bluetooth adapter that allows your phone to connect through the car and also created the AVR which is a multi-source device for selecting the medium. The AVR helps to use all devices connected into the Gateway 500 and also helps to choose and control all the devices from iPod or DVD player.
Dension has a few more top products in the designing table and will soon show us the newer opportunities of the Digital Media Age.
